MPI has utilized the LEAN program to upgrade Wilder Gardens heating and hot water systems at no cost to the property. The project included the installation of new energy conserving heating boilers, pumps, domestic hot water boilers, and tanks with a total value of $173,000. The new equipment is expected to reduce energy use by over 20%, equating to over $10,000 in annual savings at today’s rates.
Conserving energy is the best way for a building to reduce it’s environmental impact, and reduced energy use results in lower operational costs. A healthier planet and a healthier bottom line.
