Maloney Properties, Inc. (MPI) is happy to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC). It was an honor to attend the Heart of the Community Dim Sum Breakfast last week!
Janet Wu of WCVB-TV emceed the event, and ACDC honored Mayor Martin J. Walsh with the Inspiration Award for his dedication and efforts in support of immigrant families in Boston.
In celebration of ACDC’s 30th anniversary, there was a special video premiere in which filmmaker Ken Eng shared the stories of those involved in ACDC’s creation, and the community members whose lives have been impacted by their work.
The Asian Community Development Corporation works to build healthy, vibrant neighborhoods. Since 1987, ACDC has created and preserved over 400 affordable homes in Chinatown and the Greater Boston area. ACDC works with the community to provide programs that empower residents, preserve culture, welcome new immigrants, and strengthen the Asian American community. The funds raised through Heart of the Community help to support this work. Learn more at www.asiancdc.org.
