The annual “Top Places to Work” recognition honors employers in four size categories: small, medium, large, and largest. The Boston Globe chooses companies to recognize based upon employee opinions about the leadership, appreciation, career opportunities, compensation, and management practices in their organizations. The survey measured responses to statements on six key factors related to employee happiness, including company direction, execution, employee connection, workload, responsibility, management, and compensation and benefits. The survey includes input from more than 76,000 employees at 333 Massachusetts companies.
